Intergraph/Product Data User (I/PDU) is the client interface to the I/PDMsoftware and prides controlled, network-wide access to product definitionand related application data in the engineering environment. I/PDM allowsa server to archive and interactively retrieve data for a network ofworkstations using the I/PDU interface and the EMS family of designproducts. Features include: Icon and form-driven user interface, DesignRelease Management, Change control (data promotion, approval, andlocking, electronic signoff, and add and query data relationships),Product Structure (product definition, master part libraries, BOM, "whereused" queries, and explode and implode queries), Data access and Format(location transparent to user and distributed and centralized vaults),Recovery from Hardware/Software failures, Program Callable Interface, andOpen Database.
